As assessed by consultants, “BSC & KPI” (Balanced Score Card & Key Performance Indicator) is one of the most effective management tools in the world. This is effective management method, so comprehensive understanding as well as advantages and disadvantages is the concern of Vietnamese businesses. After the establishment, all businesses (from corporations of the State to medium & small companies) must have professional staffs to expand the market and conquer new heights. Each business has a specific financial capacity, thus there are many different approaches: hiring consultants to implement the project; organizing in – house courses for managers who know the method and set up the system for themselves; human resources officer participate in KPIs courses, after that they apply to the business through their knowledge they gain from the course…..

The successful application of this method must rely on many factors: the capacity of consultants, the learning ability of trainees, the commitment of the leader or owner of the business. In terms of the capacity of the consultants, they are like "doctor" of the businesses and businesses want to be “healthy”; this doctor must have good competence, passion with profession, practical experiences in different types of businesses and life experiences…. BSC and KPI are new topics for Vietnamese executives, many people know and try to apply but they usually get stuck on the implementation.

In 2017, INLEN implemented the project “Building Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)” for State – owned Companies directly under EVN – SPC including: Tien Giang Power Company, PEC One member Co.,.Ltd, SCADA Operation Center, Southern Grid Company,… For the consulting, INLEN is enterprise‘s companion on the implementation; for the training, INLEN will be “on – the – job training” - training and guiding businesses to make products by themselves.

On the job training, INLEN cooperated with Binh Duong Power Company – a large Power Company directly under EVN – SPC in terms of scale and profit contribution to organize a intensive training course in December 2017. This course helps managers of Binh Duong Power Company understand a complete BSC process, application methods of BSC – KPI practically in the actual state of their business with the support of software designed by INLEN.

Wishing to help Binh Duong Power Company have a better understanding of KPI and apply it to practice. "Practical application" is always the top criterion of INLEN Company. INLEN Company organized training course “Building Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)” at Binh Duong Power Company. This course will help managers of Binh Duong Power Company:

  • Understand and know the concepts: Value chain of company; Functional matrix; Method of functional matrix allocation;
  • Understand and know the concepts: Strategic map; BSC - MBO model; Key Performance Objective (KPO); Key Performance Indicators (KPIs); Key Result Indicator (KRI);
  • Standardize functional matrix system, allocate it from Company to Division and each Job Title;
  • Build Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) from Company to Division and each Job Title (individuals);
  • Build the Regulations of performance evaluation.
